ReplyDeleteOn the 22nd of Nov there was program aired named "IN THE NAME OF ALLAH" on News 9 channel which was about terror attack in Mumbai city on 26/11.It was a documentary on the lives of the people who had witnessed the horrifying day.
ReplyDeleteI take strong objection and protest against News 9 for naming the title of the documentary of 26/11 as “IN THE NAME OF ALLAH”. I demand an explanation from the channel and want to understand their rationale for keeping this as the title. Am baffled by this negligence and irresponsible act of the channel and fail to understand the relation between the title and the documentary.
A media house like News 9 should be sensitive to issues which may hurt the sentiments of people. News 9 should act responsibly and not relate any such act of terror to Islam or Allah. Muslims of the entire nation and the world stand in unison and condemn this gruesome act of terror and are strongly against people involved in spreading terror. Terrorists are people with no religion. The title is misleading and against the values and teachings of the religion and in no way related to the documentary.
Islam is derived from the word ‘salaam’ which means peace. It as a religion of peace whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world. Am highly disappointed and annoyed with News 9 for projecting a point out of proportion
Finally I would like to reiterate that we muslims condemn the act of terror and expressed our sorrow for all those who lost their lives on this day.

ReplyDeleteI am writing to you as I have the opinion that you are a just person who
shows no partiality to any particular community. I am a member of Full
Gospel Assembly of God church, Indiranagar which has almost 18000 people
attending it every Sunday. I would like to bring to your notice the
injustice done to our church authorities by the BBMP officials. Our church
authorities had booked the Murphy Town Grounds, Halasuru for 25th Dec, 2010
for Christmas service by paying the necessary amount. We had got the
permission from BBMP, Police Dept and the Fire Dept to have the meetings on
the above mentioned dates well in advance. But now, we have been informed
that our permission has been cancelled because one Mr. Gunashekar, President
of the Vajpayee Football Tournament has booked the grounds to conduct a
cricket match. They have told us that this person has booked it before us.
But sir, how is it possible that even after the BBMP gave us the permission
in writing, they can allow some one else to book the grounds? After several
attempts to speak to the authorities concerned, we are unable to get
justice. The BBMP authorities are telling us that they made a mistake and
that the other party has booked it before us. As you can understand, this
looks like a plot carried out by some anti-Christian groups. I request you
sir, on behalf of 18000 people from my church to intervene in this matter
and provide justice to us and allow us to conduct our Christmas and New-year
meetings peacefully. I invite you sir to the Christmas and New year
celebrations. May God Bless you sir and all your endeavors to take Bengaluru
forward.
